Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching, Temple University.  The College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching, Temple University. The Great Teacher Award, Temple University. The Philadelphia Section, American Chemical Society Award (Sponsored by Merck, Inc.) for "Excellence in Teaching Undergraduate Chemical Science." Honors Professor of the Year (Voted by the students of the Temple University Honors Program).

Interests

There are two foci. First, reaction of gaseous alkenes with gaseous HCl. Second, the synthesis of derivatives of opiates.
